She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1990 from Texas A&M University and went on to obtain her Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University in 1992. Her first two teaching positions were with Canutillo ISD and College Station ISD. She started her career with Navasota ISD in 2000 teaching 7th grade science at Navasota Junior High. In 2011 she moved to Navasota High School serving as an instructional coach and moved into her current role of associate principal in 2014. Mrs. Ramsey and her husband, Dr. Shawn Ramsey, have called Navasota home since 1995. Both of their children, Kyle (22) and Clayton (19), graduated from Navasota High School in 2015 and 2018 respectively. Kristi brings a passion for instruction and learning, a growth mindset, and a collaborative approach to problem solving. She is looking forward to continuing current partnerships with students, faculty, and staff, while building new partnerships with parents and the community. "I am honored to be named as high school principal. It is an exciting time as we are currently implementing several new programs. We are a small town school with so many opportunities for students to attain college and career readiness. I am committed to this community and dedicated to our students and staff at the high school. I look forward to this great opportunity.” said Mrs. Ramsey. “We are proud to make the announcement of Mrs. Kristi Ramsey as our high school principal. Mrs. Ramsey has shown through her efforts and results, her commitment to Navasota ISD, our students, and our community as we continue to strive for excellence in every area. RATTLER BASEBALL SHIRTS PUBLIC NOTICE OF ELECTION AND ORDER OF ELECTIONS NISD SCHOOL BOARD NHS PROM NEWS The NHS Prom for Juniors & Seniors and guests, “A Starry Night in the 20's”, is Saturday, April 25, 2020 at The Brazos Center in Bryan from 8PM until Midnight. Tickets are on sale in the NHS Library for $50 each until the end of February. Tickets include a souvenir t-shirt and a souvenir keychain. There is a fundraiser February 3-14 selling tumblers to pay for prom tickets if anyone is interested. Fundraiser forms are in the NHS Library.
